Parade Crasher
Several years ago my daughter was a Brownie in the Girl Scouts. Their leader organized them to march in the Manteo Christmas parade and as a parent I was at the beginning of the parade to help herd the cats. Just as the parade was starting my second child, a two-year old, fell down and busted his lip. Perfect timing. Because I didn't want to be run over by Santa in the firetruck I scooped up my boy and started walking. And that's how I instantly became a participant in the Manteo Christmas parade. Carrying my child the entire way. With no candy to toss to the spectators. Looking like a random guy who crashed the parade. Which I was.

Come see some of Manteo's historical homes. FREE BEER. Actually, I made up that last part. But if any of the houses have free beer, please contact me ASAP.
12/15-16/23, Shuck Hatteras II
This community event has everything. Check out local band, Hot Sauce. Lead singer, Jordan Lane, is a former FFHS lacrosse player and he is guaranteed to melt your face.
Beer I'm Drinking
Airstream IPA, 6.8% ABV
This very smooth IPA is a clean drink with subtle citrus flavor. You can pick it up at Growlers To Go in Kitty Hawk. But hurry, they will be closing for the winter very soon.
Pizza!
When you're in Corolla (and it's not winter) be sure to stop by Cosmo's Pizza for some great food. I highly recommend the Famous White Crab pizza. I love white pizza and this is a juiced up version with crab meat and balsamic reduction. Outstanding.
Know that Cosmo's in Corolla is closed in the winter. You'll have to wait until spring time.
