Convict Uses Jet-Ski To Escape Prison
Granted, the headline made me look, but this story is so crazy I have more questions. The pictures, alone, tell quite a tale.

Waze App
Before Memorial Weekend it was announced, locally, that the Town of Southern Shores spoke with the people from Waze regarding the secret shortcut on Dogwood Trail (spoiler alert: it’s not a secret).  The Waze people agreed to change their app so that it didn't offer Dogwood Trail as an option for going to and from Duck and points north. I was very skeptical.  Is Waze the only app people use to get to Corolla?  Am I the only person who uses Google Maps? What about my iPhone friends? As it turns out, the traffic on Dogwood Trail has been extremely light this summer. Maybe they're on to something.

Wanchese
Wanchese is an often forgotten corner of the Outer Banks. I had to go there this week to pick-up boat parts and I was reminded of what a cool area it is. Full disclosure: I love looking at boats and Wanchese has some amazing boats, many that are currently under construction. The collection of craftsmen that build these vessels are nothing short of incredible. If somebody created a show of a boat build I would never come out of the house.

Due to Thursday's storm, the Arts and Crafts Festival at the Hilton Garden Inn has been extended to today.

In case you're not in enough pain, here's an event where you will definitely close your Apple Watch circles.
