I've been volunteering at a few of the VUSIC concerts and the venue is amazing. If you listened to Episode #033, VusicOBX, you know that Rebecca's goal was to create an experience designed for audience pleasure. She hit it out of the park. Manteo is a great, little town and the wooded space at Roanoke Island Festival Park fits perfectly on the Outer Banks, surrounded by trees and water. In addition, the venue has a great selection of food vendors and artists selling their products.
