My new, favorite show: World Dog Surfing
I stumbled upon this on a rainy, Saturday afternoon and I had to ask, "Where have you been my whole life?" I could watch this for hours. One competitor's owner started her own dog surfing school in Japan! We need one of these on the OBX!

Here's a helpful tip from Ed Duffey, https://www.facebook.com/edward.duffey1, ring finder. This works especially well if you lose something valuable in the water. Use your cell phone to drop a pin. If you get distracted or have to suspend the search you can come back to your "start" point and work outwards.

Elizabeth City
For years I have felt that Elizabeth City was extremely close to having a renaissance and revitalize the waterfront area. It's good to see that Southern Living Magazine has recognized the hard work and vision some local business owners have maintained to do this very thing.
Elizabeth City is full of history and the old, brick buildings by the waterfront practically talk to you. In recent years new enterprises have come in to add vibrant businesses to the area and help fill it with life.
