Coming Soon: The OBX Dancing Bear Show
Just kidding. For now.
There have been several bear sightings in Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head this past week. This makes me forget about the man-eating sharks in the ocean. Now I have to worry about being mauled while I walk my dog.
Check out the video.

Which leads us to....
2,533 bears from the coast??!! That's a lot of bears.

Congratulations to Manteo High School girls soccer for winning the North Carolina 2A Championship. Well done.

Kill Devil Grill
Last Saturday my wife, Bonnie, and I were in Kill Devil Hills around lunch time and decided to find a place to eat. Since we don't often go out to eat in Kill Devil Hills we decided to visit a place we hadn't been to in over 10 years. Kill Devil Grill was the safe bet. It didn't disappoint.

Located on the beach road, Kill Devil Grill looks like an old-school diner. Don't let its humble appearance mislead you, it's menu is excellent. It still has an original counter that serves as a bar and behind that is a regular dining room. Be advised, this place is a little small so large parties may want to look elsewhere.

Kill Devil Grill has a great selection of beers and cocktails. What the food menu may lack in volume is more than compensated with quality. Bonnie and I both had a Korean-style fried chicken sandwich with slaw. The chicken was just a little spicy but the slaw cooled it down. A delicious sandwich that didn't skimp on portions.

I highly recommend this place and, due to its size, suggest that you consider visiting during off hours (lunch, early dinner).
