My New, Favorite Mini-Series
Last week I poked fun at the sheriff deputy who tased and shot a woman in Kill Devil Hills. The transcript below shows the victim was waayyy off the reservation. Here are some of my favorite parts.
"The callers proceed to accuse the woman of taking pictures of them."
Caller: But she took pictures of me she took pictures of me and is claiming that and that can be a defamation case and I want her to delete the pictures.
Caller: She’s standing in the road outside my driveway. Just walking around. And I really want her to delete these pictures.
Honey, that's not how things work. People can walk by your house and take photos.
And there's more.
Dispatcher: Is she anywhere near the children you said were outside.
Caller: No, I don’t think she crazy like that –
But those pictures....

Things That Make You Go, "Hmmm"
So I'm driving around Manteo a week ago when I see a van with Ripley's advertising all over and I think to myself how weird it would be if they were doing reconnaissance to open a Ripley's museum on the Outer Banks. After seeing this article maybe they were looking at the NC Aquarium for future expansion.
